Outer Banks Community Foundation Saves the Day
Just a year ago, NEST’s fleet of ATVs used for beach patrol was down two ATVs. They were so severely rusted that they were unsafe to drive. After finding out about NEST’s plight, the Outer Banks Community Foundation awarded NEST a grant to purchase a new ATV. In June of last year, the Outer Banks Community Foundation ATV hit the beach and during the summer riders found nests 2, 6, and 9. One hundred and sixty-five hatchlings from those nests made it to the ocean! Thank you Outer Banks Community Foundation!!
