Thanks to NEST the fourth graders at Kitty Hawk Elementary School visited the Sea Turtle Assistance and Rehabilitation (STAR) Center at the Aquarium on Roanoke Island. The trip added real life experiences to their sea turtle curriculum lessons. After visiting the STAR Center and the aquarium, the fourth graders wrote thank you notes to NEST during their English Language Arts curriculum while learning how to write a formal thank you letter. To add a final touch each note was artistically decorated by the student!! As you can see…they loved the field trip and especially seeing our beautiful sea turtles.
