Once the nesting response team got the site, they worked on getting measurements and figuring out where she could have laid her eggs. We hate it when she crawls over her incoming trail because it makes it difficult to read the nest site. But the team did great, finding the eggs on their second guess.
Once the DNA sample was collected, the team staked off the site for monitoring through this fall. Looks like we may have a Halloween nest on our hands!
