Last night before midnight, a loggerhead sea turtle came up on one of the darkest beaches in Corolla and left us with Nest #16. Bright and early, our ATV rider John called with enthusiasm on his finding. The nest site was another rather confusing one where mom crawled over the egg chamber on the way out but it didn’t stop the team from finding the eggs on the first dig. Perhaps this was the return of our false crawl from yesterday??
