June 6, Dare Day was another great day for N.E.S.T. in several ways!
This year’s event was well attended; we know we reached hundreds with our educational display and also sold some N.E.S.T. merchandise in support of our rehab and nesting activities. The fundraising booth was staffed by Margaret Janes, George Pruitt, Terry Thigpin, Jennette Fuller, Holly Robinson, and Linda Turowski. It was a beautiful day!
Dare Day was also special because our first nest of the season was found, and 2 false crawls as well. More mamas are in the area.
Rehab was busy too. Two new residents moved into the STAR Center—-a 90 lb loggerhead and a 6-8 lb. green.
A busy day all around!
