NESTers have been busy this week, preparing nest sites for emergences and watching the tides come wickedly close to their tiny wards. Some fortressing helped re-direct some of the water but it was all in good measure as teams began to help escort the tiny guys along their way.
Tuesday night Nest#20 had 13 little hatchlings trickle out of the nest. From 7PM to 2AM, a handful came out at a time. While Brent and his crew ushered their little ones, Marilyn, Kaye, and their team got to see in near daylight a complete boil at their nest. Then just this morning as the team was checking their sites, they saw a sinkhole on Nest#22 with signs of a trickle from it.
This weekend may prove busy with more hatchlings here and there!
