Loggerhead sea turtle nest #7 was discovered by ATV driver Ricky in Nags Head. Ricky called in his rather strange nest to the NEST hot line and a call was put out to the NEST response team.

The area was marked off and the team made an assessment on possible egg chamber sites and the dig began.
